Getting Dirty

I really need to find more time to get some photos up-loaded.  I have been getting some great feedback on the photos I have up-loaded at http://www.freerangestock.com and I am hoping that I can get some more work posted there.  It is a great place to go if you need free stock photos for any reason.

Once I start making money I will save to by a DSLR rather than shooting everything with this point and shoot camera.

If a picture is truly worth one thousand words, consider this:

“Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.”

Tomatoes and Sunflowers

I have these photos I’ve been putting on my flickr page once in a while but all of this has been so slow.  Things at work are busy, the kids have been sick, and there are still only 24 hours in a day.

I joined a stock photogaphy group on flicker to get some ideas and maybe post some things once I get some shooting done again.  Stock photos seem to me to be what would otherwise be seen as boring, or maybe those are not the good stock photos.  This is what I need to learn.  I want to find out what kind of photography I enjoy the most and start doing it.

Burning

One thing I’ve been trying to make some time for is stock photography.  I have some photos at Freerangestock.com :

I’ve been getting a lot of comments on my photo of the fire that I titled ‘Slow Burn’ there.  You can see it at the link above.  It’s interesting to see what kind of photos work and what doesn’t.  Hopefully one day I will be better at this, but the important thing is that I enjoy doing it now.  I wish I could say that about my other work.  :-)

Click

I’m starting this blog because I’m interested in photography.  As you may or may not know I’ve got two small children at home and plenty of other things to keep me busy as well.  However I’m trying to make photography something I can make some money with.  I’m putting some images on line for people to purchase, but also I am testing out the world of  stock photography.
